- follow the coastline past the Moeraki Boulders, 60 million years old

- afternoon Monarch Wildlife Cruise of Otago Harbour
- see royal albatross, penguins (yellow-eyed and blue), seals, shags and wading birds
- return to port late afternoon

| Day 3: Dunedin - Taieri Gorge - Queenstown |

- morning at leisure
- coach option - depart Dunedin on the Taieri Gorge train on the Track and Trail Tour.
- sightseeing stops, commentary and on-board bar and refreshments
- pectacular scenery, viaducts and tunnels dating back to 1879.
- travel across the Maniatoto Plain renowned for its extreme seasonal climates
- arrive Pukerangi - leave train and board coach for the remainder of your journey to Queenstown
- early evening, arrive Queenstown
- self drive option - depart Dunedin at leisure
- cross Taieri Plain, pass Lake Waihola
- through rugged Kawarau Gorge to Queenstown

| Day 1: Christchurch - Greymouth - Fox Glacier |

- Arthur's Pass National Park with snow capped peaks
- travel by rail over great viaducts, through tunnels and spectacular gorges
- arrive Greymouth on the West Coast
- south to Franz Josef in the Westland National Park
- self drive option
- drive to Greymouth via Arthur's Pass National Park

| Day 2: Fox Glacier Walk |
|
- morning guided walk on to the Fox Glacier
- a close up experience of the spectacular features on this huge river of ice
- duration 3.5 - 4 hours
- a heli-hike option is also available - details on request
- afternoon at leisure for further sightseeing
Suggested Sightseeing:
- a helicopter flight over the glaciers and mountain peaks
- local native bush walks
